About

Distinctives for PTIA Pastors

We are passionate about gospel centrality.

Distinctives help answer the question, “What makes your church unique?” Churches, like people, have unique DNA. Our distinctives help us verbalize some of our unique DNA as a church.

PTIA seeks to develop pastors who:

  • Understand the gospel, are able to rightly interpret scripture, display godly character, and are gifted to lead God’s church (1 Timothy 3:1-8; Titus 1:6-9).

  • Pursue holiness in their lives (Hebrews 12:14) and walk in humility before God and others (Hebrews 12:14; Proverbs 15:33; Philippians 2:3; Colossians 3:12).

  • Live a life that demonstrates Christ inspired love and servant leadership towards their wives (Ephesians 5:25; 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:6; 1 Peter 3:7).

  • Understand that the legitimate gift of prophecy is often abused in Africa and therefore they must be especially on guard to warn their people of false prophets and to guard their congregations from all false doctrine (2 Timothy 3:1-9, 4:3-5; 1 John 4:1-3).

  • Have a calling from God to plant churches in villages.  They have a special burden to reach people with biblically sound and Christ-centered doctrine who otherwise may be easily led astray.

  • Are committed to teaching other men what they have learned through the classes and discipleship and PTIA so that they too might plant Christ-centered churches (2 Timothy 2:2).

How can I get Involved

If you are an existing church or an individual that shares this vision for church planting, and think we might be able to help you, we would love to connect and see how we can partner together for the fame of the Savior.

Make a Donation

Through your prayers and donations thousands of lives are being transformed. With God's blessing, and the continued help of faithful partners, the growth of PTIA can be exponential in the coming decade.
